The shoppers on the TV news look like such slobs. No wonder the middle class is shrinking. More and more people are so vulgar and debased as not to be deserving of middle-class status.
My theory is not that the middle class is shrinking because of the machinations of evil rich people, but that it is shrinking because more and more people are choosing not to engage in the behaviors of middle-class people, but are choosing instead to behave like low-class slobs. As they sow, so they reap.
